The young steed trotted through the town, his iron hooves hammering against the concrete. He held his head high and his nose tucked in, flexing the powerful muscles of his neck. With a loud snort he tossed his mane, letting the locks cascade in water-like motion. He slid to a halt near a tall building and gave a low rear, his powerful haunches perfectly balanced, his muscles rippling under his coat. He landed with ground-throbbing thud, turning his head to take a look at the town before setting off at a gallop through the field that had erupted in the middle of the city.

Pillars lifted high, I two-beat forward, pools set on the lone figure which races over the field. My motion stops, and I question my next action, whether to continue on my path, or divert to avoid this creature. It seems silly to run simply because I do not know this brute, so I step forward, head low to the ground as I create a facade of easiness. Snapping at the low and sparse grasses, my back set to the chilled wind which whips between the walls of buildings ruined long ago, I begin an easy approach, refusing to betray the fear which has been within me.
'Ello.
I call out, twisting my tail around my flanks and chewing on my snack. The words feel surreal, and every action I that happens feels like it doesn't affect me, as if I'm only half-aware of the things surrounding me. My face screw up awkwardly as I search for the center of this feeling, as I look for myself in the tangles and thorns of my twisted mind. Why do I even bother? [It's the only one and I walk alone]

Darius slid to a violent halt, his haunches flexing, his daggers gripping the turf with a powerful strength that he felt up his spine. He stood within the carved hole that his slide had dug, and swiveled to face the stranger. He instantly sensed this horse was of the lights, for why else would this buck be addressing with such friendliness?
The appaloosa barred his teeth and flattened his ears against his skull. His orbs stared between locks of ashen forelock. His slipped curved in a subtle smile, for he felt he looked fierce, and was proud to be so.
Who are you?

Tsume, if you really must know. And I suppose since I've given you my name, I should ask you yours.
I voice, not terribly impressed by his show. It seems to me like all brutes are weak, not simply compared to me, but to the brute of my memories, the one who still haunts my forlorn steps. Any who approaches in challenge are simply an obstacle, another trial before the real challenge which seems to loom over me like a living nightmare, his tall black pillars lifting high, screams rising over everything else.
It takes a few moments for me to realize that my face portrays my emotions, my dark pools wide in fear as the imaginary demon haunts the world of my contorted mind. I shake the emotion form me, taking a step back to collect myself.

My name is no business of a Light.
The voice was gutteral, almost a growl as he spoke. This buck seemed fearful, but Darius knew it was of something other than his display. This stallion must have a haunting past to look so afraid, with his eyes in a trance of remembrance, and barely paying attention to the Dark stallion before him.
((This is horrible. I'm sorry. -hands cookie as apology-))

ooc: ((aw, it's not bad! -eats cookie-)) Please, must we be so caught up in our alliances?
I respond, pulling back my fierce feelings, and aiming them at this stallion. What he said I care little about, but I need to get my anger out, on anyone, on anything. The black devil hangs in my thoughts, refusing to leave me in peace. I just want him to go away, to leave me alone, but he refuses my insisting cries of outrage.
Must this be a problem?
I add, trying to bring myself back to the present. I cringe slightly as the sound of my name still echoes over us, seeming so out of place in the living world. It seemed so dead to me, having never been spoken for years to any who cared.
