The dawn proceeded without any interruptions as a few creatures here and there were stirring. Its pink tinted rays arrived to get the day started, reaching up from the horizon to taint the skies. Slowly the pale rose hues were joined by peaches and bright oranges as the hidden globe began to rise to welcome the world to a new cycle. The first songs of birds were herd overhead in their sweet melodies which chorused the rustling foliage. The stage was all set, lighting was now achieved all that was needed was an audience.
Winds barged through skeleton fingered trees, knocking leaves into joining the opening dance as they cart wheeled through the crisp morning air. And now for the star.
Slow, deliberate steps were heard crunching over the frozen carpet. Dirt encrusted talons proudly walked towards the glowing sun ahead sending echoing hoof beats into the atmosphere. Long elegant columns escorted the dove through the mass of undergrowth and trees on her quest to find a home. The performance was starting.
The lithe body of an enchanting mare was seen as she gracefully drifted through the sleepy realm. Her body was burly with muscles yet she was still svelte in size. She was not the cleanest of equines at the moment, having flown through a muddy bog as a short cut and yet still…there was something about her. A sense of peace and tranquillity followed her, and yet it did not seem to suit her. There was something rebellious in the pit of her twin occuli which screamed it was all a lie. For as beautiful as the damsel was…it was all a well planned act to get what she wanted. And right now, that was a stallion to look after her
